Methodology

Flocculation

Testing Algorithm:

Due to possible prozone reaction, if this test is reactive or weak reactive, quantitation will be performed at an additional charge.

When both #9953 Cell Count, Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) and #2691 Protein, Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) are within normal limits, this test will not be performed. The specimen will be held frozen in the Core laboratory for 1 month.  If testing is desired on these samples approval must be obtained from the Microbiology Laboratory Medicine Resident who can be reached at 747-1320 option3.
