Methodology
Kinetic interaction of microparticles in solution (KIMS)
Confirmation tests depend on the drug being confirmed; gas
chromatography, gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS),
high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), immunoassay, or
thin-layer chromatography (TLC) may be performed.
Includes amphetamines (dexthroamphetamine, methamphetamine),
barbiturates (amobarbital, butabarbital, butalbital, pentobarbital,
phenobarbital, secobarbital), benzodiazepines, cannabinoids (THC),
cocaine, fentanyl, methadone, opiates (codeine, morphine),
oxycodone, and phencyclidine (PCP).
NOTE: 1. This is a qualitative analysis. All positive screens will be analyzed by an alternate method before being reported as detected.
