Reference Values

Adult Only 

Interpretive data: Values greater than or equal to 10mg/L are consistent with infection or inflammation. Individuals with evidence of active infection, systemic inflammatory processes, or trauma should not be tested until these conditions have abated when using hsCRP to assess cardiovascular risk. Two measurements should be taken two weeks apart (averaging results). The CDC/AHA recommended the following hsCRP cut off points (tertiles) for CVD assessment.

Low risk <1.0 mg/L 

Average risk 1.0-3.0 mg/L

High risk >3.0 mg/L
