Specimen Requirements

Submit only 1 of the following specimens:

Specimen Type: Urine, 24-hour
Container/Tube: Plastic urine container

Specimen Volume: Entire collection

Collection Instructions:

1. No preservative.

2. Refrigerate specimen during collection.

3. Label specimen as 24-hour urine.

Additional Information:

1. Starting and ending times of collection and patient’s age are required.

2. Follow instructions in Urine Collection in Special Instructions.
